BLUE JACKETS GAME – Just a reminder – Columbus Blue Jackets battle the Chicago Blackhawks at Nationwide Arena in Columbus at 1:00PM on Saturday, February 18th .
LENTEN STUDY – Pastor Becky will be leading a Lenten study entitled Faithfully Facing Dying: A Lenten Study Guide on Critical Issues and Decisions Surrounding Dying and Death . The study will convene at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings during Lent ( February 23 through March 29 ). This six-week study will cover topics ranging from advance directives, hospice, and palliative care to physician aid in dying/physician-assisted suicide. The study will use Psalm 139 as a scriptural backdrop and will discuss these important issues from a theological perspective. There is no cost for the study, but please sign up in the breezeway by February 19th so that adequate materials are available.
ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE on February 22 nd – The Ash Wednesday Service this year will be a combined service with St. Mark's Lutheran Church and First English Lutheran Church. First English Lutheran Church will be hosting the service at 7:00 P.M on Wednesday, February 22 nd . This is an opportunity for the three congregations to share our common belief in Christ and his prayer for the unity of all his followers. Please make plans to attend and worship together as Christians.
