St. Paul United Church of Christ is a congregation of almost 600 active members located in the Northwest Association of the Ohio Conference of the United Church of Christ.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

As a congregation of God's people we welcome and encourage all to join in fellowship, joyful and inspirational worship and faithful stewardship. United in Christ, we support and nurture one another in personal develpment and spiritual growth. We strive to reflect Christ's Love and to spread God's Word throughout the community and the world.

The church is an active, growing congregation with many exciting things taking place. Some of our programs are:

Women's Guild--Technically, all the women of St. Paul United Church of Christ are members of our Women's Guild. The Guild meets every month on the second Tuesday at 7:00PM. We also maintain two fellowship circles within the Guild.

Cherub Choir--The Cherub Choir is made up of children from age 4 through 4th grade. This choir sings once a month and has over 30 children singing. The directors are Kenda Kohler and Ann Lawrence, and they are accompanied by Shirley Baughman.

Joyful Sound--The Joyful Sound is made up of children from 5th grade - 7th grade. This choir sings once a month and has about 18 children in it. It is directed by Kim Azbell.

Youth Handchimes-- The Youth Handchime Choir is made up of youth in 4th - 7th grade.  The choir has 12 youth and is directed by Martha Hefner and Heather Nolte.

Chancel Choir--The beautiful music of the St. Paul Chancel Choir is heard almost every Sunday during Worship at St. Paul United Church of Christ. Directed by Wendy Schlenker, they are accompanied by Karen Joseph.  This wonderful choir is made up of more than 30 voices.


Bell Choir--The St. Paul Bell Choir is a recent addition to the St. Paul United Church of Christ Music program. They are directed by Wendy Schlenker and provide wonderful bell music once a month.

Christian Education-- Our Sunday School is held at 9am every Sunday morning.  The children are placed in age appropriate classes and there are two adult classes.


Logos is an exciting concept in youth ministry. The program is based on the works of the Logos Systems Associates based in the Pittsburgh area. St. Paul Church has an exciting program made up of almost 100 people.

Mid Week--We hold our program every Wednesday night running for 24 weeks per year.

4:00PM - 7:00PM Grades 1 - 4
5:30PM - 8:15PM Grades 5 - 8
6:30PM - 8:15PM Grades 9 - 12

Each week has four parts: Bible Study, Recreation, Worship Skills, and Family Time (supper)

Book CLub -- Avid readers enjoy getting together on the third Tuesday of the month for a discussion on their latest book topic.   

20's, 30's, and 40's --This is a newer fellowship group of adults in their twenties, thirties or forties who like to get together to play games and meet others in our church their same age.  This group meets periodically throughout the year.

Dartball--The St. Paul UCC dartball team is a great way of fellowship for the people in our congregation. They play on Thursday nights at 8pm with other church teams in the area.
