WORSHIP

Sunday Morning Worship Services

Please join us for worship every Sunday morning at 10:15. You are welcome to attend in person or online. All of our services are livestreamed HERE!

Children’s Sermons are offered during our Sunday services. Nursery care for children is offered for every service, including special services. Please see an usher if you are in need of nursery services.

Communion: As a General Rule, We celebrate The Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) on the first Sunday of each month as well as other special occasions. Our Communion Table is open to all who would like to partake in Communion, including visitors and children, as we believe that God’s love is for everyone.

New Members: Though membership is not a requirement to be an active part of the ministries of our church family, Periodically, we celebrate the addition of new members into our congregation during Sunday Worship. Special Services

We offer special worship services throughout the year, including , Christmas Eve Services, Lenten Services, Easter Services, National Day of Prayer, Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, and World Wide Communion Sunday (the first Sunday in October). See below for details on holiday services (subject to updates).

Christmas Eve Services

By far the busiest time in the life of our church is the season of Advent, culminating in the high point of the Advent season, Christmas Eve. We are happy to offer a beautiful Christmas Eve services every year, concluding with our favorite tradition of a candlelit singing of Silent Night. We hope you will join us in person or online as we honor the birth of Christ. Please note, though we traditionally have offered an early service tailored to children, families with children are welcome at either service they wish to attend. Nursery care is available for all services.

Lent and Holy Week Services

Mid-Week Lenten Meditations: Every Wednesday in Lent, our community offers a Mid-Week Meditation Service. These are in in partnership with the Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association, and are held at St.Joseph’s Catholic Church beginning at noon, with a luncheon to follow.

Ash Wednesday: Each year, As a group of ecumenical partners, the congregations of St. Paul UCC, St. Marks Lutheran, and First English Lutheran, join together for an evening Ash Wednesday services with the location rotating each year. for 2023 Ash Wednesday will be Hosted at St. Paul UCC. Service begins at 7 p.m. These services will be livestreamed by the hosting church, and we will share a corresponding link on our Live Streaming Page.

Maundy Thursday: This service of quiet reflection observes the Last Supper with communion offered. Each year, As a group of ecumenical partners, the congregations of St. Paul UCC, St. Marks Lutheran, and First English Lutheran, join together for this Service begins at 7 p.m. These services will be live-streamed by the hosting church, and we will share a corresponding link on our Live Streaming Page. The 2023 location of the Maundy Thursday services are still currently undecided due to construction projects at St. Marks.

Good Friday: Each year, As a group of ecumenical partners, the congregations of St. Paul UCC, St. Marks Lutheran, and First English Lutheran, join together for Good Friday services, commemorating the crucifixion of our lord Jesus Christ, and the coming hope of His resurrection. The location rotates each year. For 2023 Good Friday will be Hosted at First English Lutheran. Service begins at 7 p.m. These services will be livestreamed by the hosting church, and we will share a corresponding link on our Live Streaming Page

Easter Services

For this most sacred holiday, we are happy to offer Easter services every year and we hope you will join us in person or online as we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. Please note, though we offer a service tailored to children, families with children are welcome at any service they wish to attend. Nursery care is available for all services.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: In Partnership with the Wapakoneta Area Ministerial Association, We participate in a prayer service produced and shared online. for 2023 please click HERE.
